About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience in the mental health field working with children, adolescents, adults and their families. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Tennessee. My clinical interest and practice experience includes trauma work, grief and loss, mood disorders, relationship issues, and life transitions including pregnancy, birth of a new child, pregnancy loss and postpartum depression. I enjoy seeing insights occur and feel privileged to have the opportunity to partner with people as they make changes in their lives.

My therapy style is supportive, trauma sensitive, and interactive using a cognitive behavioral framework focusing how thoughts impact both our emotions and behaviors. In therapy, I focus on assisting clients in developing coping and emotion regulation skills, improved boundaries in relationships, and effective communication skills to build and maintain personal and professional relationships. I am in the process of completing my Level II Gottman Training and recently completed the first of two trainings to complete the EMDR Institute's Basic Training.

I also enjoy the opportunity to partner with clinicians working toward licensure in Tennessee. I have completed the six hours of supervision continuing education required to provide clinical supervision. I currently offer one-to-one sessions and will provide group upon interest by up to four individuals.

I am not accepting referrals for children at this time. I will be glad to assist you with a referral to another provider.

I recently adopted a greyhound, Sam. He comes to work with me daily. He is such a sweet boy and loves the company of my clients.
